We were contacted about dismantling a mature horse chestnut tree back in August last year. The tree was in very poor condition, with extensive decay, and had already lost large limbs that had broken in windy conditions. The tree was growing above a neighbour’s garage, so we dismantled the tree in sections and lowered everything to the ground under complete control – preventing any damage to the garage roof, shed or the garden lawn.
The work was carried out in October. We chipped and removed all small branches and the logs were cut up for some friends of our clients – firewood is such a popular form of recycling! Finally, we ground-out the stump to enable another tree to be planted nearby. If you have any trees on your property that are giving you cause for concern, give us a call for some honest, straightforward advice.
